FAQs

Everything you need to know about selling privately with Celby.

How much does Celby cost?

Celby charges a flat fee of $8,000 including GST to list and sell your home. No hidden costs, no percentage of your sale price. On a $1m home, that is around $27,000 saved compared with a typical 3.5% agent commission.

Is professional photography included?

Yes. Professional photography is part of your flat fee, along with signage, brochures and your listing. Good photos do more for buyer interest than almost anything else, so we do not treat them as an extra.

Do you handle the legal side?

Yes. Your flat fee includes a property lawyer to handle the conveyancing — the legal side of transferring ownership. Celby is not a real estate agency and represents neither party, so your lawyer acts for you and reviews everything before you sign.

How do buyers find my home?

Your listing goes live on Trade Me and other major property portals, and we supply signage and brochures to reach buyers in your neighbourhood. Enquiries come straight to you, and your dashboard keeps every one in one place.

Can I negotiate offers myself?

Yes. You deal directly with buyers and make every decision yourself. Your dashboard helps you manage enquiries, compare offers and track negotiations, and our team is on hand when you want a second opinion.
